Woodpecker pricing, real monthly cost and Woodpecker alternatives compared

Woodpecker no longer sells fixed plans. Since June 2026 you pay per contacted prospect: the pricing page lists 7 USD per 100 contacted prospects a month, which puts 500 prospects at about 35 USD on monthly billing, with lower rates at higher volumes and up to 33% off on annual billing. Email accounts, team members, email verification and four warmup slots are included. LinkedIn steps, extra mailboxes, the API and the agency panel are paid add-ons, and that is where most of the bill comes from.

How much Woodpecker costs in 2026

There is one price slider. You choose how many prospects you want to contact each month, from 500 up to 1,000,000, and pick monthly or annual billing. The base price includes the sending tool and a set of features that used to sit on higher plans.

How Woodpecker counts a contacted prospect

A prospect counts once a first email goes to them in a billing period. The rule that catches teams out: a prospect added to five campaigns counts as five contacted prospects. If you split one list into separate campaigns by persona or test two angles on the same people, you pay for each.

When you hit your limit, new prospects stop receiving emails until you upgrade or the limit renews on your billing date. Follow-ups to people already contacted keep going. Plans do not upgrade on their own, so a busy month can quietly pause new outreach until someone notices. Woodpecker has rewritten its pricing more than once, so if you plan a budget around any vendor's price list it helps to track pricing page changes instead of finding out on the next invoice.

What Woodpecker costs for one, three and five senders

Monthly billing at the 7 USD list rate, with add-ons from the pricing page. Volume discounts and annual billing lower the prospect line, so treat these as a ceiling, not a quote.

Add-ons

5 sellers, 2 campaigns per list

Prospects
8,000 counted (4,000 people twice), up to 560 USD
Mailboxes and domains
25 partner inboxes, 8 domains, about 108 USD
Add-ons
API 20 USD, LinkedIn 5 x 29 USD, warmup 105 USD
Estimated total a month
up to about 938 USD

Two things move the bill most. Duplicate campaigns double the prospect line, so run one sequence per person and branch inside it with conditions. And warmup past four inboxes adds up fast on a big rotation. The cost these tables leave out is labor: someone still builds the list, writes the emails and reads every reply.

Why teams look for a Woodpecker alternative

The first reason is predictability. A flat plan shows the same number every month. Paying per contacted prospect means the bill moves with list size, and duplicate campaigns or a big list import can push it up without anyone deciding to spend more. Finance teams that approve software once a year often prefer a fixed line.

The second reason is that Woodpecker is a sending tool. It is good at it: unlimited inboxes and seats, verification and a deliverability monitor in the base price are generous. But someone still has to find the accounts, write a first line for each one and follow up on replies. For a founder who sells on Fridays, that labor costs more than the subscription.

The third reason is LinkedIn. At 29 USD per connected account, email plus LinkedIn for five sellers adds 145 USD a month before a single prospect is counted.

When Woodpecker is the right buy

Buy Woodpecker if you run an agency with several clients, you already write good sequences, you want unlimited seats without per-user pricing, and your monthly volume is steady enough that the per-prospect price is easy to forecast. The agency panel at 27 USD per active client is one of the cheaper ways to run client campaigns under one roof. Look elsewhere when nobody on your team owns outbound, when you want research, writing and follow-up included in one price, or when you want meetings booked without a person pressing send. That is what AI SDR software is for, and the AI SDR pricing comparison sets those plans side by side.

How much does Woodpecker cost?

Woodpecker charges per contacted prospect. The pricing page lists 7 USD per 100 contacted prospects a month, so 500 prospects cost about 35 USD on monthly billing, with lower rates at higher volumes and up to 33% off on annual billing. Email accounts, team members, verification and four warmup slots are included. LinkedIn, extra mailboxes and the API cost extra.

Does Woodpecker have a free plan?

No. Woodpecker has a 14-day free trial that ends after 14 days or 100 cold emails, whichever comes first, with all features and no card required. After the trial you choose a prospect volume on the price slider to keep sending new campaigns.

What counts as a contacted prospect in Woodpecker?

A contacted prospect is anyone who receives a first email from you in the billing period. The same person added to five campaigns counts as five contacted prospects. Follow-ups to people already contacted do not add to the count, and when you reach the limit new prospects stop receiving emails until the limit renews.

How much is Woodpecker LinkedIn?

The LinkedIn add-on costs 29 USD a month per connected LinkedIn account. It adds LinkedIn steps, such as visits, invitations and messages, to email sequences. Five sellers each sending from their own profile add 145 USD a month to the bill.

Is Woodpecker cheaper than Instantly?

For small volumes, often yes. 500 prospects on Woodpecker cost about 35 USD a month, while Instantly's Outreach Growth plan is 47 USD a month or 37.60 billed yearly. At larger volumes, or once you add LinkedIn and extra warmup, Instantly's flat plans usually come out cheaper and easier to forecast.

What is the best alternative to Woodpecker?

It depends on who does the work. For outbound that runs without a person, OutreachAuto starts at 99 USD a month, or 49 billed yearly, with research, writing, follow-up and booking included. For a flat-price sequencer, Instantly and Smartlead are the closest match. For agencies, Smartlead is the main rival to Woodpecker's agency panel.
